We spent five weeks in Tuscany in the ancient Villa Medici just half an hour southwest of Florence near the hill top town of Montespertoli.

S/V PRECEPT

PRECEPT is a Morgan - Catalina Classic 41 purchased new in 1987 by Sarah and Tom Diekmann. We used her for family weekends and vacations along the south Florida east coast and the Bahamas until 1987. That year, Sarah began refitting PRECEPT as a coastal cruiser. We moved on board late that year before beginning a decade long cruising career along the U.S east coast, the Bahamas, the north and eastern Caribbean and the Mediterranean Sea. In 2007, we sadly sold our beloved boat when health issues arose. That was not the end of cruising for PRECEPT though. Her new owner, Bernard LeFevre rechristened her as PAPY JOVIAL. He refitted the coastal cruising boat as a blue water passage maker and completed a circumnavigation in 2011. Bernard has a comprehensive blog which picks up the story of a fine vessel where ours comes to a close.

Our story will describe our travels and experiences over the years we had the pleasure of being part of PRECEPT and then will continue into our travels once past our cruising life.
